Cristian Anița
Cristian Anița is the Director of the National Archives of Romania, where he also has been Head of
the Administrative and Cultural Archives Department and Head of the Control, Analysis, Synthesis
and Public Policy Department. A historian with a PhD from "George Barițiu" Institute of History, Cluj-
Napoca. Also, member of the Doctoral Advisory Committee of the Doctoral School of the Faculty of
History, University of Bucharest. He has published a number of articles and studies, among the last in
2022 „Jewish Traces in Archival Funds in Romania”, in „Forum • Archive und Erinnerungskulturen in
Europa”, and in 2023 „Bridging Eastern Europe and Middle East (from Maghreb to Middle East)”. He
attended many national and international symposia as invited speaker.
