Sustainable Vegetable Production From Seed To Health Booster Sources

Marcoser organizes a technical trip dedicated to vegetable growing in Romania, which aims to show the way from seeds to harvest, using technologies for growing vegetables grown in the soil, both in the greenhouses and in the open field. 

The company is the only one in Romania that focuses on providing professional consultancy in vegetable growing, standing out at the same time through a complete portfolio, from seeds to professional films for covering greenhouses.

8:30 – Departure from Bucharest to Băleni Sârbi, Dâmbovița County

Băleni, Dâmbovița County, first documented in 1451, offers favourable conditions for growing vegetables, being in a temperate-continental climate. The fertile soil and rich natural resources of the region create an environment conducive to vegetable growing, and the inhabitants of Băleni understood to capitalize on these resources for the benefit of their community.

Among the vegetables grown in Băleni are radishes, lettuce, carrots, onions, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and many others.

9:45 – 10:45 - Visiting greenhouses with vegetables at Marcoser partners

The farm has an area of 3 Ha of greenhouses, built on metal frame, being a specific of the area. Inside are grown a variety of vegetables, such as tomatoes, bell peppers but also lettuce or green onions. Thanks to modern technologies used on the farm, consumers are provided with fresh and delicious vegetables for a long period.

10:45 – 11:45 - Field crops visit at Marcoser partners

The farm does not lack field crops, especially root crops, onions, aromatic herbs but also zucchini, and the total cultivated area is 5 hectares.

12:00 – 13:00 - Visit to the vegetable sorting and packaging warehouse

13:00 – 14:30 - Lunch at Hanul Mare in Băleni

Hanul Mare from Băleni is a chic place, with its distinctive charm from the "old days". In the past, the inn served as a film set, where a film with Florin Piersic was shot. 

14:30 – 15:45 – Artistic program supported by the Bulgarașii Ensemble from Băleni

The Bulgarașii Ensemble from Băleni, was founded in 2021, under the coordination of Prof. choreographer Carmen Vălu, out of the desire to promote traditional folk dance and costume, specific to the bulgarian area of Băleni.

During this time, the ensemble managed to bring together over 55 sons of the village, participating in numerous contests, shows and cultural-local events.

15:45 – Departure to Bucharest

17:30 – Arrival in Bucharest
