Xiloyannis Cristos
Born in Greece, graduated in Agricultural Sciences in 1972 at the University of Pisa (Italy) where he worked until 1989. In 1974 Master's degree at the Sant'Anna University of Pisa. In 1980 PhD at the University of Padua. From 1990 to 2018 he worked as full professor at the University of Basilicata. Author/co-author of 250 papers on nutrition, water relations, sustainable orchard management and climate change issues in the fruit sector. He has spent periods of study and work abroad and in particular in the USA, Great Britain and China. Convener of 4 symposium of ISHS on water relations, peach and apricot.
